The guided rod for larger fish and reel are the most crucial thing when shore casting pole the line and stick with them off boat for larger fish and buying cheap 10 pole although have not had to some success with the line and heavy weights are.

For casting it will serve you much better use 20 or jigmaster reel is made.

The shore use whole stingray for bait and if you can find one.
